Sesame Noodle Salad

Well, I’ll say this:  it’s colorful.  Too bad the noodles are such a gross color.

Lots of things going on with this salad.  It’s supposed to be just the sauce with the noodles, sesame seeds, and red peppers.  The sauce was okay, but I would have preferred it if it were a little creamier.

I ran out regular sesame seeds and fortunately had some black ones.  When Jake saw these on the stove he wanted to know if it was salt and pepper.  Heehee.

I went a little crazy with the red pepper.  I had two in the fridge and forgot that one was for something else.  Frankly, those noodles need all the help they can get.

I think the peanuts and the cilantro help a lot too.  But to me it still looks like something you would make on Halloween to resemble  brains or something yucky.

For the record, it tasted okay.  This is from Sharon O’Connor and Music Cooks Wine Tasting.  She recommends a glass of Riesling.
