This is exactly why I have a bunch of cookbooks and seldom make the same thing twice. If I made the same old chicken every night, when would I ever have the chance to try this gem? Also, for the record, I never would have thought of this combination on my own. The base of the soup was cucumbers and white bread. Come on, you never would have guessed that if I hadn’t told you.
This is from Ellie Krieger’s The Food You Crave. EK suggested serving it in a martini glass. I opted for the margarita. I thought it was a little more festive.
As far as I’m concerned, the garnish makes it. Fair warning: the garlic and vinegar packs a punch.
