Okay. So there’s no tree involved, but I thought it sounded a little more festive. Merry Christmas to all.
My Christmas Day dessert was a Rustic Pear Tart from Ellie Krieger’s newest book: Comfort Food Fix. In fact, this is the first time I’ve used this book and she doesn’t disappoint. Two highlights with this tart: buttermilk in the crust and a very easy cleanup. I love all these new-fangled crust recipes that involve the food processor.
As EK describes it: This easy tart has the casual elegance of a French country farmhouse. You know I am sold on all things French. You can even see all the cinnamon flecks.
At first glance my scoop of ice cream may look like too much, but it was a perfect match.
